Learning, Evolving, and Creating
During my time at UTS, I engaged in several collaborative projects that challenged me to apply my interaction design skills to solve real-world problems. These projects ranged from digital to physical solutions, showcasing my ability to assess complex issues and develop innovative responses.
Some key projects include:
- Interactive Doorbell: A playful doorbell system that tells knock-knock jokes, developed using Arduino and 3D printing.
- Modernized TripView App: UX/UI improvements for the TripView app, focusing on user-friendly navigation and modern design.
- Fokux Search Engine: A prototype search engine, designed in Figma, that leverages generative AI to help students with ADHD focus and study more effectively.
- StudyLock App: A unique app/product that sends users a USB key, which locks their gaming devices until designated study time is completed.
Through these projects, I strengthened my leadership and communication skills, taking an active role in task delegation and ensuring that each team member’s strengths were utilized to deliver successful outcomes.
Leadership
Guiding Teams Toward Success
During my 9-month internship at Imbuity, I significantly developed my leadership abilities. I led multiple projects, including managing client websites and overseeing a graphic design team. This role helped me grow in confidence, particularly in delegating tasks and communicating clearly both with team members and clients. I was responsible for guiding the team’s direction, ensuring deadlines were met, and actively contributing to project discussions. This experience not only strengthened my leadership skills but also improved my ability to manage projects, solve problems, and communicate effectively in a professional setting.

It’s an essential skill for almost every project, whether it involves collaborating with clients, colleagues, or stakeholders. Throughout my internship and freelance work, I’ve worked closely with diverse teams to ensure that projects are not only completed successfully but also exceed expectations. This experience has taught me how to listen, communicate clearly, and align everyone towards a common goal. In every project, I’ve contributed to fostering a collaborative environment that enhances both the process and the final outcome.
